VISION STATEMENT
Street Rod Foundation, Inc. Will Create
And Utilize Innovative Educational Opportunities
That Will Prepare Our Youth For The Future.

Educator One takes honors at Autorama in Detroit
Our first car in the Educator series we call Educator One WON Fourth place in the ALTERED STREET ROADSTER class at the Detroit Autorama car show. How awesome!

We didn’t go there to win anything; we just wanted to show everyone what can be accomplished when we work together as a team helping our youth. We also wanted to promote those who have been on our team as well.

If it wasn't for YOU - our volunteers, contributor's vendors, and manufacturers that have believed in the Street Rod Foundation, and have been so generous in providing your products and services - this wouldn't have been possible.

From our staff and student interns we want to say THANK YOU!

ABOUT US
Street Rod Foundation, Inc. provides innovative educational programs to secondary and post-secondary institutions. They are designed to help students gain a wide variety of educational skills (i.e. Automotive Technicians, Marketing, Design, Welding, CAD/CAM, Advertising, and Management, etc.) along with real life working skills as they work as a team building the Educator series vehicles of today and the future. Students will learn how to incorporate new technologies and designs into these vehicles so they are more fuel efficient and environmentally friendly.  In addition to reaching out to our youth, we also have displaced auto workers in our program as well, giving them new skills that will equip them to re-enter the workforce.

A very important part of our mission emphasizes the guidance of our youth to achieve good leadership skills while building character. These traits will enhance their futures as they live and work in their communities. This is at the core of Street Rod Foundation and we incorporate this message in all areas of our projects.

The following is a great example of what a cool street rod looks like:
Examples of a cool street rod!

We will promote the "Educator Series" vehicles and our sponsors in many different venues (i.e., car shows, malls, schools, and community events, etc.) throughout the build process and after completion. Advertising is a big part of this project. We will show all phases of this build from start to finish in car magazines, online car magazines, and on our website. We will provide advertising to the participating schools, vendors, and manufacturers that participate in our programs.

After building and showing "Educator One", this soon-to-be well-known street rod will be auctioned off and a portion of the proceeds will be given back to the Educational Institutions and to the students that have participated in the project in the form of grants and scholarships.

Our goal is to give students the opportunity to gain educational skills, hope for today and to build on their dreams for tomorrow.

The "Educator" vehicles are simply the "Fun vehicle that drives our foundation to achieve our Mission."
