The SRF staff has continued its roll as mentors over the summer, and will continue working with our youth this Fall. There are just a few things to get done before the frame goes to the powder coater and the body gets painted.

The first thing we needed to start on was to determine the location of the radiator and hood; once this was done we drilled holes in the radiator frame and fastened it down.

Here you can see Dave Stanaway, and Chris Redman working with David Booth and Nick DiBlase on the hood bracing.

You guys all know this is the last thing we want to do - and that is to read the directions. I have to say the directions provide by Dan Fink Metal Works on how to install the hood latch were well done and it made this part of the build much easier.

Chris is working with Nick on the hood latch.

The hood and its latch are now assembled. Vice President Dave Stanaway and student David Booth are checking the fit of the hood and how well it opens.

The big giant Chris is teaching Nick some basic steps on how to use a welder.

Chris is guiding Nicks' hand as he welds a bolt onto a piece of steel for a jig they are making.

Here is part of the crew after a long days work, I guess it was a good day - they are still smiling. David Booth on left rear tire, Dave Stanaway on right rear tire, Chris Redman on left front tire and Nick DiBlase on the right front tire.

Here you can see E1's body before the holes were cut out for the tail lights and license plate to be frenched in.

Nick is cutting the holes for the tail lights and license plate buckets.

All the holes have been cut out.

In this picture the recessed license plate bucket and one of the tail lights have been welded in.

Here is a sneak peek of the Educator Ones console. I know the MCX 5” Quad Gauge Tach/Speedo Combo set that Auto Meter provided will look awesome. The Gen-11 streamline panel controls that Vintage Air provided will look cool as well.

Dave Stanaway is working with David Booth on E1s brakes. I am starting to wonder about David - it seems like he is sitting around a lot. Just kidding.

Here you can see the brake lines have been installed.

In this picture you can see the master cylinder, clutch cylinder, and the combination valve that was provided by MP Brakes.

Dave and David have installed the fuel lines and the fuel filter.

Here you can see the fuel lines that have been installed up to the motor.

Educator Ones motor now has a Mallory Distruster, Promaster Coil, and Prestolite plug Wires all provided by Mr. Gasket. Yogi's provided these awesome headlights w/turn signals.

SRF at the Marshall car show. We haven't attended many car shows this year because of Bob's health and the need to stay focused on getting E1 completed.

SRF attended the Ledges Classic Auto Show in Grand Ledge, MI. This year the rain got the best of us in the morning, but later in the afternoon the sun did come out.

The motor mounts and steering column linkage were relocated to their proper location. Motor mounts provided by Chassis Engineering.

Steering column linkage has been installed in its new location. The steering linkage provided by Ididit, Inc. and Borgeson.

Project Manager Chris Redman alias “Big Foot”, is overseeing the build of Educator One in his natural resting position!

VP. Dave and student David are working on relocating transmission mount.

David Booth is checking the measurements for the new transmission mount he and Dave are making.

The fuel lines and fuel filter have been installed by Dave and David. E1's fuel tank was provided by Rock Valley Antique Auto Parts.

The clutch and brake master cylinders were provided by MP Master Brakes.

The bulk head, dryer, and coil have been installed to the firewall.
